Drivey is a multi-cloud file management application built for power users to better manage their files stored with popular cloud providers including Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive, AWS, Sharepoint, and more. Experience a better user interface, easier file management, as well as advanced features such as moving files between providers, searching for files across connected accounts, file or folder encryption, and rolling backups. Drivey saves users time by making multi-cloud file management a breeze.
One of Drivey’s biggest challenges was developing the backend functionality for the advanced drive functions, especially rolling backups. We also wanted to find a secure way to manage multiple accounts, allow logins with any account a user has added, and create a consistent user experience across many different providers with different API structures.
The application uses a combination of frontend and backend API integrations to provide both speed and execution of advanced cross-cloud asynchronous data processing.
The result is a multi-cloud file application that easily merges accounts from leading cloud storage providers like Dropbox Personal & Business, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Amazon S3. The application allows users to migrate files between the platforms, easily encrypt data, and get an overview of all files across each cloud storage platform.
As this was an internal product, we had to fit in the work around our client work which is always prioritized. As a result, resources had to jump on and off the project to keep things moving even when balancing other projects.
